Here are some EFL/ESL links I particularly like

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ACHIEVEMENT < www.achievement.org/ > The Academy of Achievement (an interactive museum) brings you face to face with the extraordinary individuals who have shaped our times. You can meet the leaders, discoverers and creators who shape the world in which we live. This site may be used with upper-intermediate and advanced learners (teenagers and adults) for content-based lessons. Explore it! It's really great.

SYLVAN LEARNING FOUNDATION < http://www.bookadventure.com/>

This is a great site for kids, parents and teachers. It is very colourful and catchy. Kids will love it! It is a free reading motivation program where kids create their own book lists from over 6,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read offline, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes. It's really great!

ESL LISTENING RESOURCES by Arlyn Freed < www.eslhome.com/esl/listen/ > If you want to get to many listening sites go there. You will find authentic and semiauthentic listening material for ESL/EFL students. Most of it requires Real Player or Quick Time, but you can download them from the site. It's really good. Check it!

AMERICAN HOLIDAYS by Eva L. Easton  http://eleaston.com/holidays.html [28 Jul 02]
This is a great site to use on your lessons. You will find all main American holidays there, plus many quizes on them, Birthday Party Invitation Cards and so on. You can get into holidays around the World section as well. It's really great! I highly recommend it.

YOUR DICTIONARY < www2.yourdictionary.com/index.shtml > [29 Mar 02] An impressive collection of online dictionaries. Some examples include The Jargon Dictionary, Dictionary of difficult words, New Words in English, and Xrefer dictionary which allows you to search all the Oxford Specialty Dictionaries at once.

RANDALLS CYBER LAB is a great site to visit. As a teacher you will find lots of useful listening comprehension quizzes and exercises for your students to use in and out of the classroom. All you need is a set of headphones and Audio/Video software
